Portrait photography on film
Launceston, Tasmania
If you have a question that has not been answered here, please feel free to reach out via the Contact page and I will be in touch promptly to clarify.
Yep! After your non-refundable $100 deposit has been secured, payment plans are available for the remainder of the session investment. The full investment must be paid within 48hrs of your scheduled session, so you have until then to pay the rest of.
I advise booking further ahead in time to make smaller weekly payments.
Payment plans are also available on professional print and wall art investments over $200.
I sure do! Payment plans are available for gift certificates, too. Perhaps you and a couple of friends would like to shout a maternity or newborn shoot for your bestie? Or an engagement shoot for the bride and groom to be?
Contact me and together we can create a gift certificate that suits your needs.
Once your session is concluded, I send the film via express post ASAP to the lab in Melbourne. Their turnaround time for developing and scanning the photos is usually 3-5 business days (sometimes longer during holidays etc.).
Once I receive the scans, I will do some light editing before curating your gallery.
All up, you can expect to receive your gallery 4-6 weeks after your session, sometimes sooner.
I kindly request your patience – my first priority is always motherhood. Besides which, I’m not a fan of hustle culture. I will always strive to get your pictures to you relatively quickly, and I will always contact you if there are any unforeseen delays.
I will place your order with the print lab once the full payment has been received. This applies whether you are utilising a payment plan or paying in full upfront.
The lab’s turnaround time can vary depending on the product. For example, loose prints might take a couple of weeks, whereas framed prints usually take 4-6 weeks.
Your deposit is non-refundable, however, it is transferable. In case of illness or poor weather, we can reschedule your shoot at no additional cost.
Session investments have been valued to include enough film for up to 7 people. More individuals may be included at an additional cost.

Wear whatever you normally wear, something that makes you feel confident and comfortable.
The only thing I recommend avoiding is text/logos (eg “Hard Rock Cafe), as these tend to pull focus.
I’m happy to provide one-on-one guidance during the planning stage of your shoot if you’re unsure. Feel free to send pics or ask for feedback. I’m always happy to help and I want you to feel comfortable and true to yourself.
No, and I don’t have any plans on offering one in future.
My editing process is kept very simple because I firmly believe you are perfect just as you are.
I remove pimples and blemishes, (unless you ask me not to).
However, if you want me to make you look slimmer, or swap out your toddlers frown for a smile, or remove natural wrinkles and freckles. . . you would be better off seeking a different photographer!
If you plan on booking multiple sessions within a 12 month period (e.g. pregnancy/newborn, engagement/wedding etc.), a discount may be available. Fill in the form on the contact page and I will be in touch with a quote.
A print release is built into my contract, permitting you to print your photos wherever you wish.
However, I would be remiss not to mention – I do not recommend printing your photos at just any old place. There is a subtlety to the art of printing that is lost in department store style kiosks, and your photos will not look their best.
They are also not designed at archival, heirloom standard, and longevity of these prints is questionable.
I liken it to going on holiday only to eat the same food you eat back home. After investing time and money, it would be somewhat of a shame not to get the most value out of the experience.
You are free to print your photos wherever you like, and I have included the print release in my contract because I acknowledge that budgets and priorities differ. But I do encourage you to think of the long term investment when considering how you will enjoy your photos.
